About the masterclass

Don’t leave UX to the professionals.

If you’re in charge of a product, a service, or even a startup, you need to understand your users – their behaviour, pain points and motivations – to be able to design a successful  experience. In this masterclass, you will spend two days with experienced specialists and like-minded participants on improving your product. This is not a theoretical UX introduction – it’s a hands-on experience that creates immediate value.

While product managers are traditionally focused on the organisation and optimisation of a product’s life cycle from a business perspective, UXers live and breathe for the users and are experts on designing journeys with them in mind.

In the best of cases, product managers and UXers share mindset and the result is a product which is successful from both a business and user side. Succeeding with this requires a particular set of skills. In this masterclass, you will learn how to align UX with your product strategy and identify how UX should be applied in your particular case to make better decisions, processes and ultimately better products.

During two content-packed days, we dive into the design of user studies, usability testing, ideation, sketching, prototyping and more. We learn how UX tools can be used to gather data that both conforms to your business vision and makes the experience frictionless and enjoyable for your users.

The faculty consists of a brilliant team of Client Directors, UXers and MarTech experts from the digital communication agency Advice. Through feedback, inspirational talks and facilitation of creative workshops they give you months’ worth of digital consulting in two, intense days.

Following course registration, you will submit a brief of your product or project in order for our faculty to design a toolkit adapted to your particular needs. This is the product or project that you will be working on during the masterclass. You will be divided into groups based on industry and interest.

A few weeks after the masterclass, you will have a follow-up workshop with the faculty and your course mates to see how the implementation of your new tool kit is going and receive feedback and support on this process.

Who is this course for?

This workshop is designed for product owners, project managers or other professionals responsible for solutions or products. You have a couple of years experience within your area of expertise.

You may also already be working with graphic or print design, architecture, web development or engineering.

The workshop will take place in our vibrant community of digital and tech startups at Holmen. It’s not only an opportunity to learn, but also a time for networking, learning from others and making future business partners.

UX involvements methods from think aloud testing to observation techniques
